Didn't you once say something about nursing? The option is always there to change your career...but do you really want to based on the comments of few? You know you are good at what you do.
Maybe you shouldn't change your career, but change your location. The school my son goes to is awesome, as are many in the area. There is a very communal, even family feel to the school district. F is only in kindergarten, but I already know many of the teachers and faculty in his school and all are very warm and welcoming. That pretty much goes for the whole neighborhood though. I'm not saying that it's the best place in the country, it's best for us, but there are many good places to be and you're not really in one of them. Good teachers are hard to come by and from what I understand you're one of 'em. Don't give that up.
